A Real CANADIAN COUNTRY BOY
Ty picked up a guitar at 14, by 15 he had written his first song and began performing. Now he performs in venues around Southern Ontario and has refined his writing style which has been influenced by a diverse group of writers including Jeffrey Steele and Rhett Atkins and draws inspiration from a wide range of artists including Robert Johnson, Eric Church, Oasis, and Hank Williams Sr. to name a few. As a prolific songwriter, his lyrics reveal his love of country living, friends, family, and a rocking good time. As a performer, his real pleasure comes from having “the crowd singing back to” him as one of his songs says. Ty is serious about the quality of his music, but never takes himself too seriously.

Spokesperson for Oscar’s Roadhouse Lisette Stauch said the following of Chelsea Crites “She’s this amazing country singer and she’s been all over the place, and now we are thrilled to have her at Oscar’s.” It is Chelsea’s growing reputation from amazing performances that enables venue owners speak so highly of her.
In 2009 Chelsea was nominated for Niagara Rising Star. She has been gigging weekly with her talented band since 2010. In 2011 Chelsea was showcased throughout Hamilton and the CCMA’s and was the house singer at Tootsies in Nashville TN. WENDY LYNN SNIDER
Wendy Lynn Marie Snider (Leduc),a native Indian of the Temagami First Nations, was born in Kirkland Lake and raised in the beautiful surroundings of Northern Ontario in Temagami. She grew up in a musical family listening to Christian and classic country, and such artists as Waylon Jennings, Johnny & June Carter Cash, Johnny Horton, Ricky Nelson, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline and Sonny James, just to name a few.
Her father, Leonard, entertained at the local pubs and favored singing the songs of Johnny Cash. Her mother, to this day, is still the organist and singer at the church the family attended in Temagami. Wendy, along with her 3 brothers and 1 sister, all have been blessed with a natural musical talent, and have all performed in different locations across Canada over the years. Her parents bought her first guitar for her when she was 9 but she only pursued performing occasionally during family gatherings as music took a back seat to other interests Wendy had as a child and teen.
As time passed and Wendy branched out on her own, she eventually moved to Burlington, Ontario for several years and during that time often sang the Canadian and American National Anthems for various organizations. She married, had two wonderful boys and balanced being a working mother, but sacrificed giving up any musical aspirations that had continued to be something she so dearly wanted to get back into after all these years.
A difficult time emerged in Wendy’s life as she and her husband divorced, forcing her to re-evaluate things and look towards a new future. Part of her new future was to bring a new love into her life but as a single working mom, it was never easy meeting new people until one of her friends suggested she try an online dating site.
She eventually met Curtt Snider. Love blossomed and the two were married within a year. It wasn’t until Curtt heard Wendy sing that with his support and encouragement, decided it was time the world heard her voice. Wendy was back singing once again!
Wendy and Curtt wrote a number of songs together, including “Online Flower”, the song inspired for her first CD recorded in Nashville stemming from how she and Curtt met and fell in love. She began performing again to support the CD release all over Ontario and continues to do guest appearances with other musical acts including St. Catharines’ “Toasted Western Band”.
It wasn’t until 2010 that she re-connected with high school friend and long time music industry person Michael Peters that she moved to the next stage of her musical resurgence.
Michael brought in industry veteran Thomas Wade to produce a new album for Wendy that features a blend of traditional & new country, and country gospel songs. Including the 3 songs Wendy and Curtt wrote on the new CD, there are a number of Canadian songwriters lending their talents to the project including Michael, who also acts as executive producer of the album. The CD also features CCMA award winning players Shane Guse on fiddle, Doug Johnson on steel and Thomas Wade on guitars among others. The first single from the CD is a song called “That’s What It’s All About” a good message song that features a video supporting the release that can be seen on YouTube or Facebook.
Wendy has now fulfilled a long time dream and is looking forward to getting out with her band to promote the new CD and make new friends and fans out there along the way! www.wendylynnsnider.ca
Many artists in the music industry have come from humble beginnings, but few are able to maintain their small-town softness and openhearted honesty in the face of growing success. Born two hours north of Toronto, Jaime Payne is living in the beautiful blend between a firm and ambitious drive to succeed in her chosen artistic field, and the welcoming, fun-loving simplicity that seems to define Muskoka.
Sarah Boulton is a seasoned singer/songwriter from the small town of Port Colborne, Ontario. Her love of creating and performing music pushed her to learn an array of instruments and refine her writing, and her latest work will be showcased on an EP set to be released in the summer of 2013. Some of Sarah’s accomplishments include being voted 5th in the Canada-wide songwriting competition called “Indiscover”, and performing in a slot at the Country Music Television festival in 2011 with a former band. She has performed on stages ranging from her hometown, to throughout Ontario, and as far as Nashville, TN. Her influences include artists from many genres, such as rock band Evanescence, pop/contemporary artist Sarah McLachlan, and country group The Band Perry, which gives Sarah’s music a unique sound. She loves to share the stage with friends and family and is often accompanied by one or the other at her gigs.
